Dance at Kuzman's to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association

GIRARD — Area residents are invited to dance the night away at a “Dance to Remember” from 7 p.m. to midnight on Feb. 12 at Kuzman’s, 1025 S. State Street. Proceeds from the dance will benefit the Greater East Ohio Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Music for dancing will be played by the band Savoy, and during breaks, DJs Carl Severino and Stephen Barba will provide ballroom dance tunes.

Research has proven that dancing helps reduce dementia, including Alzheimer’s. According to the Einstein Study, released by the New England Journal of Medicine, active people had a 63 percent lower risk of developing dementia compared with those who hardly ever played cards, danced or did other such activities.
