More pins for Austintown Girl’s Bowling team

The Austintown Fitch Girl’s Varsity team beat Glen Oak with a final score of 2,667 to 2,460.

High scores and sets for the Falcons were bowled by Gina Cheff 228-429, Marietta Gallo 252-398, Victoria Phelps 236 and Vickie Berquist and Delorean Jones 211.

The Junior Varsity team also prevailed over Glen Oak with a 1,887 to 1,438 final score. Andrea Campbell had a high game of 201.

Sign up for baseball and softball this weekend

Austintown Community Baseball and Girl’s Fast Pitch Softball sign ups are going on today and tomorrow at Champ Field on Raccoon Road from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stryffeler Indoor Training Center.

Please bring your registration form, medical release form, waiver/release form and birth certificate.

Recognition dinner set for football coaches

The Curbstone Coaches football all-league recognition dinner will be Sunday at the Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. This event is open to the public and the cost is $25. Bill Castrovince, sports director at Channel 33, will serve as the Toastmaster.

The organization will honor the all-conference players from the City, Steel Valley, Inter-Tri County and All-American conferences.
