Director speaks about Easter Seals

AUSTINTOWN — The guest speaker at the Jan. 18 meeting of Austintown Rotary Club was Jodi Harmon, development director at the Easter Seals Center.

She reminded Rotary members that the center was founded by Youngstown Rotary in 1951 and has greatly expanded its services over the years.

It now provides services to residents in the tri-county area. It not only aids 3,000 children each year, but also provides adults with day care and rehab services.

On April 24 Easter Seals will conduct a fundraising “Walk With Me.” As a result 99 cents of every dollar raised will stay in the local community.
