“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ Channel 21; rebroadcast at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The Youngstown city school system is under the control of a state oversight committee. Superintendent Wendy Webb will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the state of the school system and address issues about student and parent involvement.

Youngstown native and filmmaker Stan Foster will discuss “Preacher’s Kid,” a movie that he wrote, produced and directed that will debut Jan. 29. Foster talks about growing up on the South Side of Youngstown and being a product of the Youngstown schools.

Suzanne Barbati will share information about the new Children’s Center for Science & Technology, which will open in the fall.
