Dog abuser sought in Mercer County, Pa.
SANDY LAKE, Pa. (AP) — State police are looking for a man who shot a dog then ran over the animal with a pickup truck in western Pennsylvania.
State police in Mercer say they can’t be sure if the dog died, since they’ve been unable to find the animal or the suspect since a witness reported the incident Saturday. That’s why they’re turning to the public for help.
Police say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Pa. Route 358 near Interstate 79 in New Vernon Township, Mercer County.

Warren woman indicted in Youngstown man’s death
YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Lisa Snyder, 33, of Warren, on a murder charge in the death of a Youngstown man earlier this month.
Snyder is accused of running over Jermall Wilson, 25, of Youngstown, on Dec. 2, 2009, on St. Louis Avenue. The two were involved in an argument when Snyder left the driveway in her Chevrolet Lumina before driving it back in and running over Wilson, Youngstown police said.
Wilson died Jan. 8 from injuries suffered in the incident, according to police. The Mahoning County coroner ruled the case a homicide. Snyder told police at the time that Wilson had a knife and was kicking the windows of her car.
Snyder is being held in the Mahoning County jail on the original charge of felonious assault.

The man was treated at St. Joseph Health Center for a cut to the back of his head and several cuts to his face and hands.
He told police he had gone to Van Wye to see a friend, who was in the shower but told him to come in. He was attacked by two men there who took the keys to the rental car he was driving, a 2009 Chrysler 300 that he borrowed from a girlfriend.
