Police seeking Rogers man on burglary, theft charges

staff report

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Police have issued warrants for the arrest of a Rogers man.

Jack Nalley, 25, is charged with felony aggravated burglary and misdemeanor theft, said Chief Vincent D’Egidio.

Early Saturday, village police received a call of a fight and burglary in progress at an apartment off Sandy Drive.

The woman who lives in the apartment told police that Nalley is her ex-boyfriend, and he came to her apartment to talk.

She told him to leave, and Nalley complied, the chief said, but returned a short time later and forced his way in.

Nalley pulled out a handgun and ordered the woman and a man who was at the apartment down on the floor, took the woman’s cell phone and fled, police said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Lisbon found the vehicle that Nalley had been driving abandoned about a half-hour later on Union-Ridge Road, Negley.

The vehicle is registered to Nalley’s mother, D’Egidio said, and police were awaiting her consent to search it.

Police consulted Tuesday with the prosecutor at Struthers Municipal Court, and the warrants were issued.
