SHARON, PA. — Buhl Mansion was the setting at 3:30 p.m. June 28 as Rachael Lin Thalkar and Jacob Wyatt Wynkoop were united in marriage by the Rabbi Jill Hausman.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception in the Buhl courtyard and gardens before leaving for a honeymoon at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The bride is a daughter of Menahem and Tania Thalkar of Pleasantville, Pa., and the groom’s parents are David and Lois Wynkoop of Warren.
The bride’s strapless ivory silk gown was enhanced with beaded lace and crystals.
Champagne gowns were worn by Amy Emick of Spartansburg, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Paola Baez of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ashleigh Beach of Turtle Creek.
David Wynkoop Jr. of New York performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Brian Tyree of Lordstown and Timothy Wolbert of Champion. Also participating were the bride’s brother, Daniel Thalkar of Pleasantville, and her uncle, Shalom Thalkar from Israel.
The bride graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY, with a bachelor’s degree in merchandising management. She is a manager with A.A. Concepts. The groom attended Penn State University and is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
The Wynkoops live in New Orleans.
