Business expo scheduled for Feb. 4 at Radisson

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. — The 2010 Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will be from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Radisson Hotel-Sharon at state Route 18 and Interstate 80.

The expo will have more than 60 exhibitors, including small-business owners and national companies.

Displays are geared to both the consumer and business owners.

Admission is $2, or $1 with two canned goods to benefit the Prince of Peace Center.

We’ll diet with someone, but do we trust them?

NEW YORK — Another year, another New Year’s resolution to lose weight. You might even make a pact with your closest friend, family member or colleague to shed the pounds together.

But do you trust them?

A recent poll found that though 66 percent of Americans are open to dieting with someone, nearly the same amount — 67 percent — said they believe the other person is dishonest about their eating habits.

The telephone survey of more than 1,000 people, commissioned by nutritional supplements company Zone Labs, Inc., also found that more than 60 percent admitted they didn’t want the other person to lose more weight than they did.

Still, about 70 percent said they’d be unhappy if their partner failed to lose any weight.
