AARP 4611

• AARP Chapter 4611 will have an executive board meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church on Parmelee Avenue. The regular meeting will be at noon. • Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. All classmates are welcome.

CROATIAN PENSIONERS

• A meeting of the Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will be at noon Thursday at the Croatian Lodge 66 on Vestal Road. The speaker will be James Traficant. Games will be played. • Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. Following the business meeting, Vincent Schuyler, coordinator of Trumbull County Senior Citizens Services unit, will speak. Membership dues will be collected, and bingo will be played.

HOLY FAMILY

• Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Parish Center in Hope Hall. Use the Youth Center entrance. New members are welcome. Jennie Nethers will preside. There will be bingo, cards and a 50-50 raffle. Sandwiches, snacks, coffee and tea will be served. Hostesses will be Nethers, Fran Ameduri and Ruth Shipsky. The election of officers will take place. • The Keenagers of Third Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration with a speaker. A payment on the June trip to Washington, D.C., is due.

• The retirees of Local 2243, U.S.W.A. Copperweld Steel (S.O.A.R. 1-28-10) will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Local 1375 hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The speaker will be Erica Lepore of the Giant Eagle Pharmacy.

LIBERTY 55-PLUS

• Liberty 55-Plus Senior Citizens will have a meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church, Cardinal Drive, Liberty, with Kay Herberger presiding and Dorothy Filaccio and Antoinette Stumpo as hostesses. A 50-50 drawing is planned, and birthdays will be acknowledged.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Ted Conner will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. P.E.R.I.

• Public Employees Retirees, Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon Feb. 2 at the ITAM, Meridian Road, Youngstown. Guest speaker will be Kay Lavell, deputy sheriff, with Senior Services Unit of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. She will speak about protection and victimization and other aging issues. Members having unused cell phones with chargers can take them to the meeting. The Senior Services Unit will give them to low-income seniors to use for emergencies. The menu is pasta with meatballs, baked chicken, tossed salad, rolls and butter, coffee or tea and cherry pie for dessert. The cost is $8 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door. The reservation deadline is Saturday. No reservations will be accepted after that date.
