• AARP Chapter 4611 will have an executive board meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church on Parmelee Avenue. The regular meeting will be at noon. • A meeting of the Croatian Pensioners of Mahoning Valley will be at noon Thursday at the Croatian Lodge 66 on Vestal Road. The speaker will be James Traficant. Games will be played. • Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. Following the business meeting, Vincent Schuyler, coordinator of Trumbull County Senior Citizens Services unit, will speak. Membership dues will be collected, and bingo will be played.

• Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Parish Center in Hope Hall. Use the Youth Center entrance. New members are welcome. Jennie Nethers will preside. • Liberty 55-Plus Senior Citizens will have a meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Assembly Church, Cardinal Drive, Liberty, with Kay Herberger presiding and Dorothy Filaccio and Antoinette Stumpo as hostesses. A 50-50 drawing is planned, and birthdays will be acknowledged.

P.E.R.I.
• Public Employees Retirees, Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon Feb. 2 at the ITAM, Meridian Road, Youngstown. Guest speaker will be Kay Lavell, deputy sheriff, with Senior Services Unit of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. She will speak about protection and victimization and other aging issues. Members having unused cell phones with chargers can take them to the meeting. The Senior Services Unit will give them to low-income seniors to use for emergencies. The menu is pasta with meatballs, baked chicken, tossed salad, rolls and butter, coffee or tea and cherry pie for dessert. The cost is $8 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door.
