The creative wheels are turning for YSU students Mariah Snyder (left) and Nicole Kline as they build a snow ramp for the ultimate sledding experience.

Heavy snow may make driving conditions dangerous, but it makes a great foundation for sled riding.

Jan. 8 resulted in several snow days for elementary and high schools. Residents from all over the Valley were sliding down the slopes of Sled Hill. Located in Mill Creek Park on McCollum Road, Sled Hill provided the perfect solution to a snow day.

Instead of staying inside where it is warm and cozy, people from all around bundled up and gathered atop Sled Hill for a day filled with fun.

Road conditions weren’t an issue when it came to riding down the snow covered hill. Why not have a little fun on an unexpected day off?

Children, college students and grown men and women all embraced their inner childhood by sledding down the hill time and time again.
