Former MTV star to speak in Sharon Wednesday

SHARON, Pa. — Penn State University’s Shenango Campus will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life with a presentation by poet, musician and social-educator Mohammed Bilal at noon Wednesday in the Forker Laboratory Forum.

Bilal will talk about the “12 Steps Towards Appreciating Diversity.” The event is free and open to the public.

Bilal, former MTV “Real World” star and diversity consultant, is a writer who educates audiences about some of today’s greatest social problems. His “12 Steps Towards Accepting Diversity” is a an interactive presentation sprinkled with hip-hop and self-reflective narratives.
