BOOSTERS

• Girard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.

CLUBS

• Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon luncheon meeting. The program will be discussion of PEO projects, and hostesses will be Ann Baumiller and Laura Reed.

• Warren Women’s Connection will have a Happy Hearts luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 8 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Sue Simmons will demonstrate heart-healthy aerobics and speak on “On the Treadmill of Life, Where Are We Going?” Jason and Sheila Fischer will present vocal selections. The cost is $12. • Canfield Junior Women’s League will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the clubhouse at Brandywine Apartments, 3390 Flo Lor Drive, Austintown. • Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at noon Wednesday at The Manor, 314 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Youngstown. The program will be by Monsignor Peter Polando and officers will be installed. New members are welcome.

SINGLES

• Over-40 Singles meets for a social from 6 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday at Leetonia Library on Walnut Street. Any single person over 40 is invited to attend.

SOCIETIES

• The first Ethnic Heritage Society meeting of 2010 will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 23 at Sts. Peter and Paul Social Hall.

SUPPORT GROUPS

• Mahoning Valley Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman. Dr. Bonnie Reeveley will present a program on “Lab Reports 101: Everything you wanted to know about laboratory but were afraid to ask.” Anyone interested in fibromyalgia is welcome. • Mercer County Lupus Support Group will not meet on Thursday. The normal schedule will resume in February. The group meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at UPMC Horizon Woman Care Center, 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa., on the third Thursday of each month.

VETERANS

• United Veterans Council of Mahoning Valley will have its 69th annual banquet Jan. 23 at the ITAM 3 on south Meridian Road. Doors will open at 5 p.m., there will be a cash bar, a two-meat dinner at 6 and a program at 7. The citizen and the veteran of the year will be introduced, and the commander of the Vienna Air Force base will be the speaker. The cost for the event is $15. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Dean McClain at (330) 799-9565 by Tuesday. All veterans and the public are invited.
