Jury finds Youngstown woman guilty of killing her husband
YOUNGSTOWN — A seven-man, five-woman jury found Monique Williams of Norwood Avenue guilty of murdering her husband, Julius, with a firearm specification.
The jury reached its decision this afternoon after just over three hours of deliberations at the end of a four-day trial.
The 44-year-old victim died in St. Elizabeth Health Center after being shot in the couple’s North Side residence in April 2008.
The 40-year-old defendant faces 18-years to life in prison when she is sentenced at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday by Judge John M. Durkin of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, who presided over the trial.
