HUD awards grants to local housing authorities

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded $59,518 to the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority and $48,620 to the Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority to further their efforts in the family self-sufficiency program.

Under this HUD program, local public housing authorities link residents with public service agencies, schools, businesses and other local partners, providing participants with the skills and experience to obtain gainful employment.
