Woman’s body found near her garage door

YOUNGSTOWN — The body of 85-year-old Betty Plager, 867 Cambridge Ave., was found face-down in the snow by her garage door just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

According to city police, the crime lab and detective unit was called to the scene, and the Mahoning County Coroner’s office took possession of the body. The cause of death was not immediately known.
