A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:
HUBBARD
Jan. 9
Arrest: The Ohio State Highway Patrol had custody of Christopher E. Godsave, no information given. He was wanted on a warrant from the city.
Drugs: Austintown police handed Chad Kimble, no information provided, to Hubbard authorities. Kimble was accused of failing to appear in court for arraignment on a charge of possession of drugs.
Theft: A woman reported items stolen from her home in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Jan. 11
Possible burglary: A Stewart Avenue woman said she left her door unlocked but returned to discover it locked, leading her to believe someone may have entered.
Jan. 12
Possible fraud: A Princeton Avenue man reported getting a suspicious letter and check mailed from Canada.
LIBERTY
Jan. 9
Arrest: John W. Lacy, 62, of 378 Lora Ave., Youngstown, was taken into custody near Frederick Street on a warrant from Mahoning County and housed at the county jail.
Identity theft: A Mansell Drive woman discovered her identity had been used to establish a store credit card and buy $464 worth of merchandise, as well as to open a line of credit.
Truck theft: A Girard man’s 1994 Chevrolet truck was stolen while he was at a Belmont Avenue gas station.
Burglary: To a Judith Lane home that had a rear door kicked in. A vehicle and two firearms were missing.
Drug paraphernalia: Officers responded to a disturbance at a Gypsy Lane apartment, where they cited 38-year-old Vicki L. Goist, 530 Gypsy, after saying she had a suspected crack cocaine pipe on a coffee table.
Assault: A worker for a Belmont Avenue restaurant reported a man walked into the kitchen, then grabbed and licked the side of her face.
Theft by deception: An employee of Sherwin Williams Co., 110 E. Liberty St., reported having sold $956 worth of paint and supplies last October to a customer the accuser thought was affiliated with a Belmont Avenue business, then being advised that the business had never made the purchase.
Jan. 10
Theft: A West Liberty Street woman reported the theft of a sweeper broom attached to her vehicle that had been repossessed.
Jan. 11
Criminal damaging: A bedroom window to a residence in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue was broken. Damage came to $100.
Theft: A Youngstown man, 38, was accused of, but not charged with, stealing $27 worth of trading cards from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road.
Bad check: A sales representative with a Cleveland company reported receiving two checks totaling $9,734 from a Belmont Avenue gas-station worker, and that the checks were returned for nonsufficient funds.
Jan. 12
Harassment: A township woman said a Boardman man started making several lewd and sexually explicit calls.
Theft: Charges were pending against a woman, 19, and a 20-year-old man, both of Youngstown, who were detained after two DVDs and three Xbox games had been stolen from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A charge was pending against an 18-year-old Youngstown man after someone had taken a $20 electronic card and adaptor from Wal-Mart.
Theft: Dale M. Harrison, 42, of 621 Trumbull Ave., Girard, faced a charge after a worker with Masters Bar and Grill, 1675 Trumbull, reported someone had removed money from a register and fled.
Jan. 13
Arrest: Authorities investigated a suspicious person in the 3200 block of Belmont Avenue and picked up 47-year-old Angelo A. Dourlas,2504 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, upon learning he was wanted by Campbell police on a disorderly- conduct charge.
GIRARD
Jan. 10
Burglary: Someone forced open a door, possibly with an ax handle, to a Trumbull Lot trailer, though nothing seemed to be missing.
Jan. 11
Criminal damaging: A woman ran over and destroyed a mailbox in the 60 block of Mohawk Drive.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered the Avon Inn, 1513 N. State St. Stolen from the basement was about 150 feet of copper piping.
Jan. 12
Aggravated menacing: Three boys walking home from school near Howard Street told police another teen exited a vehicle and threatened them with a metal pipe.
Jan. 13
Assault: A homeowner in the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue reported a male assaulted him. The accuser sought medical treatment for cuts and bumps to his head.
Burglary: Took place in the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue after someone forced open the front door and ransacked the residence. Stolen were a 36-inch TV and a device to burn DVDs.
Burglary: Police checking TG’s Pizza, 400 N. State St., found a cash register outside a drive-through window after someone had entered.
