Campbell Memorial association to sponsor new alumni award

CAMPBELL — Beginning this year, Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will sponsor a Distinguished Alumnus Award to be presented annually to an alumnus at the association’s spring banquet.

The award will go to a male or female graduate of CMHS who has achieved a successful career, has made life better for his or her community and America, and has brought honor and distinction to the school.

Candidates for the award may be nominated by anyone by sending a letter to Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association, 280 Sixth St., Campbell, OH 44405, marked to the attention of the alumni award committee.

The letter should include the name of the nominee, contact information, year of graduation, a brief career r sum , and a brief note as to why the candidate should be selected for the award.

All the nominees will be introduced prior to the announcement of the winner at the spring banquet.

The winner will be asked to speak about life growing up in Campbell and attending the high school.

The time and place for the 2010 banquet will be announced at a later date.
