ACTION elects officers

YOUNGSTOWN — The Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhood (ACTION) recently elected the Rev. Lewis W. Macklin II as the president.

He is senior pastor of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. He also serves on the boards of Mahoning County Children Services, American Red Cross and Youngstown Minority Health Advisory Board.

Other officers are Patrick Kerrigan, vice president; Pat Rosenthal, treasurer; and the Rev. Leonard Williams, secretary.

ACTION is a faith-based social justice agency, comprising several dozen churches and nonprofit entities, which serves the tri-county area.

ACTION has a sustained focused on addressing issues of crime and safety in communities and advocating for a physical campus of the Eastern Gateway Community College, which will be located in the downtown Warren area.
