New-vehicle sales at Mahoning Valley car dealers dropped 37 percent last year, while used-vehicle sales dipped 10 percent.
The year-end figures released today by the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio were much lower than any other year in the decade after 2009 witnessed a lingering recession and the bankruptcies of General Motors and Chrysler.
The top-selling new car last year at area dealers was the Chevrolet Malibu.
