Recycling site near Lake Milton will close

LAKE MILTON — The recycling drop off site at Carson’s Landing, 16700 Ellsworth Road, will close Friday, the Mahoning County recycling division has announced.

That site is closing because the recycling division needs to save money on collections from bins; the site generates too much garbage and too few recyclables; and the location is too close to other area drop off centers, said Jim Petuch, recycling division director.

Sites remaining open daylight hours Monday through Saturday will be Milton Township Hall, 15992 Milton Ave., and Lake Milton State Park beach, 2541 Grandview Ave.
