YOUNGSTOWN — Senior John Pecchia had 11 points in the first quarter and seven in the fourth quarter and finished with 22 points. Youngstown Christian (8-1) resumed its winning ways after Cardinal Mooney halted the Eagles’ seven-game streak to start the season last Tuesday. Of Youngstown Christian’s 29 rebounds, Casey Carroll had nine and Victor Shaw eight. For East, Tyrell Henry had 18 points, while Tarrelle Burt added 14 and Norman Johnson scored 16. The Panthers collected 22 rebounds.
Struthers 73, Niles 61
NILES — Nate Jacubec had 25 points and Struthers made 18 of 21 free throws. Three of Jacubec’s goals were from 3-point range. On Niles’ end, Ryan Frantz had 17 points, three of which were 3-pointers.
South Range 65, Columbiana 62
NORTH LIMA — Peter Dinh scored 16 points and South Range shot 11 of 11 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to rally for an Inter Tri-County League Tier One victory. Brandon Pluchinsky made four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points and Kyle Seaver also scored 14 for the Raiders (5-4, 4-1), who outscored the Clippers 19-13 in the fourth quarter and finished 17 of 19 from the line. Logan Goist scored 22 for the Clippers (4-5, 2-3), who had two chances to tie in the closing seconds but missed both 3-point attempts. Tyler Denmeade added 17 points for Columbiana, which was just 5 of 7 from the foul line for the game.
Lowellville 66, Leetonia 59, OT
LOWELLVILLE — Pat Minnie scored all four of his points in overtime and Lowellville outscored Leetonia 8-1 in the extra session to win the ITCL Tier Two game. enior Mauro Amendola made six 3-pointers for the Rockets and finished with a game-high 19 points. Mike Mangine added three 3s and 16 points for the Rockets (6-2, 4-1), who have won four straight. The Rockets had only one field goal in the fourth quarter. It came from Mangine with 1:34 left and tied the game at 58. Lowellville had two chances to win in the final 20 seconds, but missed two free throws and a shot at the buzzer. Michael Dowling had a team-high 17 for Leetonia (3-5, 2-3) and Cody Stokes followed with 13 and Luke Newton had 12.
GIRLS
East 69, Mooney 48
YOUNGSTOWN — Lesa Oliver had 22 points, 11 rebounds and four steals to lead East (6-4), which took a 22-11 lead after one quarter and never looked back. Chelsea Bennett added 13 points, five rebounds, six steals and four assists for the Panthers, who forced 34 Mooney turnovers and had 24 steals. Alex Hines scored 12 points and Briana Dawson had 11 points, seven rebounds, seven steals, four assists and three blocks. For Mooney (4-6), Kelly Martino had nine points, four assists and three rebounds.
Springfield 60, Chaney 44
NEW MIDDLETOWN — The Tigers (8-2) pulled away by outscoring the Cowgirls 26-8 in the third quarter. Andria Lyons scored 27 points while Brooke Schrieber netted 11. Kallie Rogers had nine points and seven of Springfield’s 29 rebounds. Ashley Davis had seven points, six assists and four steals. For Chaney (2-8), Zatona Yancy scored 10 points.
Boardman 65, Canton GlenOak 37
BOARDMAN — Kayleigh Lipke had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Monica Touvelle 17 points and four steals to lead Boardman, which had 20 steals in a strong defensive performance. Doriyon Glass added 12 points and five steals and Darryce Moore 11 points and 13 rebounds to bolster the Spartans (6-1, 3-0 Federal League). Brooke Meenachan contributed three assists. Boardman enjoyed 39-27 rebounding and 25-15 turnover advantages. Ashley Rininger had 12 points for GlenOak (5-6, 0-4).
Lake 56, Fitch 43
UNIONTOWN — Byanca Henderson scored 12 points to lead Fitch (3-7, 0-5 Federal), which was outscored 33-14 in the second and third quarters. McKenna Stephens scored 17 points and Macy Byrd had 13 for the Blue Streaks (5-5, 2-1).
Poland 52, Hubbard 36
POLAND — After three close quarters, Poland (8-3) pulled away, resulting in a 12-point effort by Lauren Tadla. The 6-1 senior center also had five steals and 14 of Poland’s 29 rebounds. Paige Seech’s 13 points paced Hubbard (4-6).
Warren Harding 64, Niles 28
NILES — Jasmine Kirkland scored 18 points to lead the Raiders. Also scoring in double figures were Kourtney Williams with 15 and Aundrea Baldridge with 12. Megan McDermott led the Red Dragons with 10 points.
Liberty 44, Brookfield 42
BROOKFIELD — Shanae Thomas scored 20 points and made 15 rebounds for the Leopards (4-7). Bianca Rozenblad scored 10 as Liberty overcame a 32-26 halftime deficit. For the Warriors, Ashley Swezey scored 17 points and Paige Wallace 14.
Girard 43, Mathews 34
GIRARD — Katelynne Brainard scored the first six points of the fourth quarter to spark a 19-6 edge over the last eight minutes as Girard rallied for the win. Brainard finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and three steals for the Indians (4-5), while Emily Culp had 11 for Mathews (7-5).
Lowellville 68, Leetonia 43
LEETONIA — Ashley Moore made three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead Lowellville (8-3, 4-1 ITCL Tier One). Taylor Hvisdak added 12 points for the Rockets, who outscored Leetonia 20-4 in the second quarter to take a 39-16 halftime lead. Clarissa Perkins scored 16 points for Leetonia (2-3, 3-7).
Sebring 57, Southington 54
SEBRING — Taylor Ward scored 13 points to lead three Trojans in double figures. Jorri Zmuda scored 12 points and Emily Dickens had 10 for Sebring (5-4). Kaylynn Barco had 22 points and Haley Hancousky scored 10 for Southington (3-6).

STRUTHERS — Dana Mathews scored 19 points, including three 3-point goals, to lead Struthers (7-3). Ashley Baron contributed eight points for the Wildcats, while Katelyn Ardale added 12 points. Paige Loychik had 13 points to spark Champion (8-2).
Kent Roosevelt 53, Southeast 35
RAVENNA — Kent Roosevelt built a 23-17 at the half, and added 15 points in each of the last two quarters. Lauren Mulhollen had 11 points to lead Southeast.
West Branch 55, Alliance 39
ALLIANCE — After falling behind, 13-7, following the first eight minutes, West Branch picked up the pace, but didn’t take the lead for good until the third quarter, when the Warriors outscored the Aviators, 16-5. Michele Sosnick had 12 of West Branch’s 32 rebounds. Arreonna Gattis’ 10 rebounds paced Alliance.

WELLSVILLE — MiKyla Tipton scored 29 points to lead the Tigers (3-5).
