Canfield winter concert
CANFIELD — The Canfield Community Concert Band is presenting a winter concert at 3 p.m. next Sunday in the Canfield High School auditorium. Admission will be canned goods or cash donations to benefit Operation Blessing. Operation Blessing is a volunteer group started more than 20 years ago through Canfield churches (Canfield Presbyterian, Old North, Canfield Methodist, St. Michael’s, Canfield Christian and Calvary Baptist) that provides food to needy families in Mahoning County. The band, under the direction of Anthony Cebriak, will be performing a variety of music that will include marches, classical and Dixieland styles. The band rehearses every Tuesday evening at the high school; musicians from the entire Valley are welcome to participate. The band performs at several area nursing homes, in area parks during the summer and presents two indoor concerts. For more information on the concert or participating, contact Leann Rich at (330) 503-4113.
