YMCA hosts youth basketball clinic

The YMCA will host a clinic to teach the proper technique of shooting a basketball for ages 5 through 12 on Sunday. The times for 5-8-year-olds is 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the 9-12-year-olds will meet from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The fee for members is $17, and for nonmembers it’s $21. Registration deadline is Saturday.

Poland baseball signups begin

Registration for 2010 Poland Community Baseball season will only be available online starting Monday. There will be no transaction fee.

Youth basketball tournament coming

Poland Boosters are hosting a basketball tournament for fourth, fifth, and sixth grade boys and girls Jan. 30-31, and Feb. 6-7. The tournament will be held at the high school, middle school and elementary school.

To enter, the cost is $100 per team, and registrations and entry fees must be received by Jan. 22. It is limited to the first 40 paid entries.

Poland basketball tickets on sale

The Poland High School athletic department is now selling reserved seats for boys basketball to all current season ticket holders. Season tickets are now open to the public.

Boys basketball team to play at Covelli Centre

The Poland High School Athletic Department will be selling tickets to the Poland boys’ basketball game at the Covelli Centre on Jan. 19.

The game against Springfield will begin at 6 p.m. Presale tickets can be purchased at the Poland High School Athletic Office Monday through Friday, until 2 p.m.

Presale Tickets are $4 students and $6 for adults. All tickets at the gate are $7. Call 330-757-7021 with any questions you may have.
