YMCA basketball

The YMCA will host a clinic to teach the proper techniques of ball handling and passing a basketball for ages 5 through 12 on Sunday.

The times for 5-8 year olds is from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 9-12 year olds will meet from 3- 4:30 p.m. The fee for members is $17, and for nonmembers $21. Registration deadline is today.

Canfield Baseball signups

The Canfield Baseball Club is accepting registrations for the Spring 2010 baseball and softball seasons.

Registration is online only at www.canfieldbaseball.com. No walk-in registrations or mail-ins accepted. Deadline is Feb. 15.

Cardinal Boys Basketball Classic in Canfield

The boys basketball classic in Canfield is accepting fifth- and sixth-grade teams for pool play on Friday.

The championship round will be contested Jan. 17. For information, call 330-565-9372 or e-mail classicsports@zoominternet.net.

Reserved seating available for basketball games

Canfield High School is selling season reserved seating ticket packages for girls’ and boys’ basketball games.

The reserved seats have back rests and are located at center court on the new north side bleachers. Tickets are $72 for the season.
