Austintown Community Baseball & Girls Fastpitch Softball sign-up is going on Jan. 16, 17, 23, and 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at Champ Field on Raccoon Road at the Stryffeler Indoor Training Center.

YMCA hosts clinic to teach kids basketball

The YMCA will host a clinic to teach the proper techniques of ball handling and passing a basketball for ages 5 through 12 next Saturday. The times for 5-8 year olds are from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and the 9-12 year olds will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The fee for members is $17 and for nonmembers it’s $21. Registration deadline is Friday.
