Girls invited to learn about basketball
The Junior Lady Spartans Basketball Program led by Lady Spartans head coach Ron Moschella is hosting a camp for girls in grades kindergarten through sixth enrolled in any Boardman school. It will run Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons throughout January and February.
The purpose of the program is to stress the fundamentals and have fun playing the game of basketball. The girls will be organized into teams and each player will receive a basketball and a T-shirt. Each team will have the opportunity to play during halftime of a varsity girls basketball game.
Enrollment is $40 per player and interested girls are asked to meet at Boardman High School’s gym Sunday at 4 p.m. for grades K-3 and 5 p.m. for grades 4-6. Wear gym clothes and be ready to play.
Call Moschella with questions at 330-509-3988.
