Milliken to seek re-election to auditor’s post

LISBON — Columbiana County Auditor Nancy Milliken on Friday said she will run again for a full four-year term.

Milliken, 63, a Republican, has been elected twice after being appointed to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of the former auditor.

During her tenure, Milliken has helped upgraded the county computer system and the payroll system. She created a plan where people can apply for a dog license on-line. The system also allows identification of lost dogs by their tags.

She also helped create space in the county computer system that allowed a department to view and handle its revenue.

Her office has 13 workers, two less than when she started.

She has also served as a watchdog on county revenue and spending.

No one else has announced plans to run for the office.
