YOUNGSTOWN — Taylor Carter scored 20 points to lead Chaney (2-7), which outscored Heartland Christian 19-11 in the second quarter and 20-11 in the fourth to pull away. Laniece McRae added 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the victory. Erin Letarte had 16 points for Heartland (2-9).

LIBERTY — Salem senior Amy Scullion, an Ohio State recruit, scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half as the Quakers (8-1) rolled up a 37-13 advantage at halftime. Scullion also had 12 rebounds, five blocks and four assists. Vekayla Merriweather and Bianca Rozenblad each scored 11 for the Leopards (2-7).
