Robert Morris 81, Ohio 79
ATHENS — Karon Abraham scored 23 points and Rob Robinson added 21 to help Robert Morris. Abraham scored five points in the final 2:19 as part of a 7-4 run to help Robert Morris (6-7) break a 74-74 tie. Ohio (8-5) tied the game for the fourth time on two free throws by Kenneth Van Kempen with 2:14 to play. The Bobcats took a 56-50 lead on a free throw by D.J. Cooper with 12:33 left. Robert Morris then answered with a 14-2 run, capped by a Dallas Green jump shot for a 64-58 lead with 7:59 to go. Abraham was 6 of 7 from 3-point range to lead the Colonials to 60 percent from behind the arc (9 of 15). Mezie Nwigwe added 11 points, including a free throw with 12:30 left to give Robert Morris its biggest lead, 22-6, with 12:30 left in the first half. Jay Kinney scored 25 points and Cooper finished with 22 for Ohio.
Bowling Green 59, Saint Louis 50
BOWLING GREEN — Otis Polk scored 13 points to lead Bowling Green. Polk also grabbed nine rebounds for the Falcons (7-5), who hosted their first home game following a five-game road trip. Dee Brown added 12 points and five rebounds, while Erik Marschall chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds. Bowling Green began the game with an early 9-0 lead, as Saint Louis was held scoreless for the first 6 1/2 minutes. The Falcons held a 24-15 lead at halftime. Bowling Green later opened up a big lead in the second half, thanks to an 8-2 and an 11-0 run, the latter of which gave the Falcons a 46-26 lead with 7:12 remaining. The Billikens got no closer than within nine for the final margin. Kwamain Mitchell scored 13 points to lead Saint Louis (9-5), which had its two-game win streak snapped.
Northern Illinois 66, North Dakota 45
DEKALB, Ill. — Xavier Silas scored 24 points, including 18 in the second half, to lead Northern Illinois. The Huskies (3-8) scored 25 points in the first 10 minutes while holding the Fighting Sioux (2-13) to just four. They went into halftime up 34-11. Silas was 8-for-13 from the field, including sinking six shots from long distance. Though scoreless, Darion “Jake” Anderson made six assists to tie his season best. Chris Clausen came off the bench to lead the Fighting Sioux with 16 points while Jordan Allard added eight. North Dakota dropped to 0-5 on the road.
