YMCA hosts basketball clinic for ages 5-12

The YMCA will host a clinic to teach the proper technique of shooting a basketball for ages 5 through 12 on Sunday.

The times for 5-8 year olds is 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the 9-12 year olds will meet from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fee for members is $17, and for non-members it’s $21. Registration deadline is Saturday.

Youth basketball tournament seeks teams

Poland Boosters are hosting a basketball tournament for fourth, fifth, and sixth grade boys and girls Jan. 30-31, and Feb. 6-7.

The tournament will be held at the high school, middle school and elementary school. To enter, the cost is $100 per team, and registrations and entry fees must be received by Jan. 22. It is limited to the first 40 paid entries.
