LOCAL TOPICS ON TV Sunday programs


“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21; rebroadcast at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Youngstown has made the national spotlight due to the works of Mayor Jay Williams. Williams will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss his first term, the 2010 project and what the community can expect in his second term.

Next, Brenda Mack and Henry McNeil will discuss the development of Community of Faith Credit Union, a new initiative to help minorities and low-income consumers with financial planning and education.

Finally, Renee Battafarano of the Mahoning County Court Appointment Special Advocates for Children Program (CASA), will discuss the program and the need for community volunteers to help represent neglected children in the juvenile-court system.
