Fitch reserve boys looking for success in new year
First-year junior varsity coach T.J. Parker has already experienced the ups and downs of a long, grueling season.
However, he feels that the entire Falcons’ hoops program from varsity on down, while suffering through expected growing pains, is pointed in the right direction under the leadership of its new head mentor Jason Baker.
At 1-4, with their lone win coming against West Side rival Chaney High, the Falcons will get through the New Year’s holiday and look at an away game at Niles McKinley Tuesday to start the 2010 portion of their schedule.
Parker can go with as many as four guards at a time on the court with sophomores Nick Williams, Pat Rovnak and David Anzelmo, and junior Adam Nishimura being the catalysts. Junior forward Dontrell Lawrence rounds out the unit.
Four sophomores coming off the bench are guards David Ritchie, Dom Rivera and Marcus Dodson, and forward Trevor Yacavo.
