Youngstown man indicted on charges of attempted murder, felonious assault

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury has handed up indictments for 30 people this week, including a Youngstown man accused of trying to kill a man.

Earl Price, 36, of North Blaine Avenue, is charged with attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and illegal possession of a weapon. The charges stem from a Nov. 6 incident in which Price is believed to have shot an East Side man and attempted to shoot another man.

According to police, the two victims were at a detailing shop on McGuffey Road when Price, known to them as “Pistol Pete,” drove up in a truck, got out of the vehicle and pointed a gun at them.

Police reports say one of the men ran through a wooded area upon seeing the gun, but the other man was shot in the back, buttocks and stomach.

The wounded man and his uninjured friend tried to drive to the hospital, but the car broke down along the way. A nearby business owner took the men to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where the wounded man received treatment.

URonnie James Gilbert, 25, West Judson Avenue, trafficking in marijuana, two counts of failure to comply with police officers and possession of marijuana.

UKamaljit Singh, 26, Brookwood Road, Boardman, trafficking in tobacco to avoid tax and prohibitions by retailer.

UAaron Keys, 18, Rush Boulevard, aggravated robbery and possession of cocaine.

UJames Meade, 49, and Roger Dewitt, 35, both of West Dennick Avenue, breaking and entering.

UJesse Hudson, 19, Eliot Lane, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

UBrian Rushton, 26, Creed Street, Struthers, illegal possession of a weapon, carrying concealed weapons and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance.

ULisa Snyder, 33, York Northwest, Warren, two counts of felonious assault.

UDaQuan McNair, 19, East Ravenwood Avenue, and Michael Butler, 28, West LaClede Avenue, burglary.

URonald D. Hellman, 42, Manhattan Avenue, possession of cocaine.
