• The 55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Hostesses will be Lorna Ramsey and Helen Rushan. After card games members will dine out.

1418 AUXILIARY

• 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Brownstone Court, 50 Struthers-Coitsville Road, with John Texter presiding. • Canfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church where blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45 p.m. Dues will be collected. • Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Betsy Koneval will preside, and dinner will be served; cost is $10. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner, and a representative from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department will discuss its senior program. FREETIMERS

• Youngstown State University Retirees will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday for their monthly breakfast at Denny’s in Boardman. All retirees and their friends are welcome.

GIRARD

• Girard Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. March birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated. Members are asked to take canned goods for the Emmanuel Center. After the meeting there will be a pizza party. The cost is $2.

LOWELLVILLE

• Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday in the conference room at Lowellville City Hall. Delores Romeo will preside, and a deputy from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department will be the guest speaker on the subject of senior protection. For reservations call Janet Davanzo, (330) 793-3176. A Lenten lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi of Gianna’s Catering. Birthdays and anniversaries for March will be observed, and gifts for shut-in members will be collected. Bingo will follow the meeting.

MAHONING TEACHERS

• Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet March 10 at Antone’s Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. A social hour will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:45. Edna Hanson, past president of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, will be the speaker. Nonperishable goods, current magazines and paperbacks will be collected. MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. ST. CHRISTINE

• St. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the parish center with Ruth Infante presiding. Reports will be given by Mary Jo Theis and Carol McClain, and pizza will be served by Theresa Vivacqua and her committee. Dues will be collected for 2010, and March birthdays will be acknowledged. There also will be attendance prizes, a 50-50 drawing, cards and bingo.

ST. NICHOLAS

• St Nicholas Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. March 9 for a program in the lower church. Afterward they will continue their meeting in Great Hall and have a luncheon. TRUMBULL MEMORIAL

• A luncheon meeting of the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retiree Club will take place at 11:30 a.m. March 8 at Buena Vista Caf in Warren. At 12:30 p.m. Candy Smith will present the program, “Patient Satisfaction at Trumbull Memorial Hospital” along with Sally Mazey, director of Volunteer Services, and Sandy Frazzini, director of Quality Department.
