The Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration Mar. 13 will benefit a worthy cause this year.

The event will assist Paige Neville, a Poland student who is fighting a rare vascular condition. Proceeds will help defray her medical expenses.

She was diagnosed in November 2009 and this medical condition has caused multiple complications in her vascular system.

Because of blood clots in her leg, it became medically necessary to amputate all of the toes on her left foot.

Paige is an 11 year-old fifth-grader at McKinley Elementary in Poland.

She lives in Poland with her mother Gretchen and her 13-year-old brother, Tony.

The event will begin with cocktail hour from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at The Georgetown on South Avenue in Boardman.

An Irish dinner buffet will be served at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $25 and include an Irish buffet and The County Mayo Band.

Deadline for ticket purchase is Mar. 5.

The Irish Step Dancers from the Burke School of Irish Dance will also entertain as well as bagpiper Stephen Sutherland Holter.

There will be prizes in the Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, Irish games and more.

For information about purchasing tickets, donating to the event or the Chinese auction, contact Patty Reese at 330-792-6848.
