Varsity girls win one and lose one

The Boardman varsity girls basketball team jumped out to an early lead Feb. 15 en route to a 64-31 win over Warren Harding.

Darryce Moore scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the Spartans. Monica Touvelle added 16 points and offered three assists.

On Feb. 10, the Spartan girls rallied in the fourth quarter, but fell short in a 62-54 loss to Canfield.

Moore led the team with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Other scorers for the team included Glass with 14 points, Missy Demarinis and Brooke Meenachan with six points apiece and Touvelle with four points.

Boardman boys basketball falls to Lake

The Boardman varsity boys basketball team lost 55-53 Feb. 12 at Uniontown Lake.

J.T. Moore led the team with 21 points, 20 rebounds and four assists. Dave Dibernardi followed with 12 points.
