New pastor at Prince of Peace

The Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church has installed Julianne Smith as its new pastor.

Pastor Smith graduated from Wittenberg University and then Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1985 with a Master’s of Divinity degree.

She spent 14 years at St. Mark Lutheran in Ada, Ohio, and nine years at First Lutheran in Upper Sandusky.

Smith moved to Poland with her husband, Stuart, and has already begun serving at the 50-year-old church. In addition to her pastoral duties, Smith is active in the Ministerial Association and has served on the board as secretary of the American Red Cross.

She is on the Advisory Board of Camp Mowana, a Lutheran summer retreat camp located in Ashland County. She has two daughters, Jessica and Sarah and a new granddaughter.
