BOARDMAN — Nuptial vows were exchanged in the presence of the Rev. Philip Rogers as Jillian Moreen O’Brien and Mark Anthony DeSalvo II were united in marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony Dec. 19, 2009, at St. Charles Church.

After a reception at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield, the couple left on a ski trip to the mountains in New York.

The daughter of Richard and Susan O’Brien, 6648 Bristlewood Drive, and son of Sherri Smidt, 6363 Clingan Road, Poland, and Mark DeSalvo, 48 Woodrow Ave., Boardman, live at 1213 Redtail Hawk Court.

Pearls and lace adorned the the bride’s strapless ivory ballgown, and the organza skirt flowed into a cathedral train.

Meghan O’Brien, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Kristan Belak, Stephanie DeSalvo, Nicole DeSalvo and Allison Dougherty, wore vintage leaf gowns. Flower girls, Kendal Calabria and Zoe Martin, wore ivory gowns.

Best man was Jonathan Poma, and groomsmen were Richie O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, James Raybuck and Joseph Schraider.

The bride attended Youngstown State University and graduated from Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus.

The groom served with the U.S. Army and is a sergeant with the Ohio National Guard. He attended YSU.
