CAMPBELL — Two men are charged with receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools in the theft of guns from a residence in Mahoning Township, Pa.

Adam Lipscomb of Elruth Court in Girard and Christopher Petko of Fatima Drive in Campbell are charged in the burglary Monday afternoon, a police report says.

Police said they got a call from Coitsville police that a gun safe from the burglary was dumped on Hutson Road there, and a witness got a license-plate number. The vehicle’s registration returned to the Fatima address, the report said.

Mahoning Township, Coitsville and Campbell police went to the Fatima address, looked in the window and saw Lipscomb sitting at a kitchen table cleaning a gun that matched the description of one stolen in the burglary, the report said.

Police said Lipscomb saw them, grabbed the gun and ammo and ran to another area of the house.

Petko came to the door and was put in handcuffs, they said.

When police searched the house and garage, they found a handgun, nine rifles, an ammunition box, and a tackle box that held supplies for muzzle-loader cleaning, the report said.

All the items matched the ones stolen in the burglary, and the burglary victim arrived to identify them, the report said.

Lipscomb and Petko were arraigned Tuesday and taken to the Mahoning County jail in lieu of $97,500. The jail said both men remained there Wednesday.
