Drama Ministry will revive fun, music of 1950s

VIENNA — The Drama Ministry of Vienna United Methodist Church is inviting the public to don poodle skirts and leather jackets and join in the fun during a dinner and a performance of “Uncle Phil’s Diner” at the church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road.

The toe-tapping musical, written by Dave Avanzino, Coley Fisher and Craig Wilson, provides a nostalgic look back in time. It features once-popular selections such as “The Stroll” and “Rock Around the Clock” presented by a multigenerational cast and a live band.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. March 26, and for noon, 4 and 8 p.m. on March 27. Tickets are $8 and include the dinner. They must be purchased in advance by calling (330) 652-5518.
