Affidavit names person who shot Liberty mother, daughter in 2009

WARREN — Denise L. Jackson, 25, of Youngstown, told family members Nov. 15, 2009, that a male acquaintance of Wilneice L. Green of Liberty had to “pay for what he did” to a child related to her.

That day, Jackson and four others went to Green’s house on 3022 Northgate Drive and killed Green and her 13-year-old daughter Ja-Brajasia, an affidavit released today says.

Those details were given in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court the same day that Jackson and two reported accomplices appeared for hearings on aggravated murder charges.

According to the affidavit, Wilneice said, “Not my kids,” as Melvin L. Turner, 36, of Youngstown shot her and later her daughter. Turner is being held by Baltimore police awaiting his return here. The other four are in the county jail.
