East 64, Warrensville Heights 61

YOUNGSTOWN — Jarelle Burt with 18 points, three rebounds, two steals and four assists for East (13-4), which won its ninth straight game. Justin Brown added 14 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and four blocked shots and Tyrell Henry had 13 points, two steals and two assists. For Warrensville Heights (4-15), Tim Walker had 16 points and six rebounds, Rayshawn Clement added 14 points and seven assists and Krisern Clemons had 12 points.

Brookfield 53, East Palestine 40

EAST PALESTINE —Despite Brookfield’s 12-0 start, East Palestine came within 32-31 in the third quarter before the Warriors (11-8) regrouped to win. Jimmy Hawley had 18 points for Brookfield, while Pablo Diaz added 10 points in a one-time matchup this season. Senior Ben Gysin had 13 points and 12 of East Palestine’s 31 rebounds, while senior Austin Cope also had 13 points and had seven of the Bulldogs’ 12 assists.

Lowellville 55, Leetonia 37

LEETONIA – Nick Altomare scored 14 points, including nine from 3-point range, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Bears (3-16, 2-11 ITCL Tier Two) over the hot hands of Pat Minnie and Joe Harris. Minnie and Harris had 17 and 12 points, respectively, for the Rockets (14-5, 10-3).

Minerva 79, United 61

HANOVERTON — Ryan Sarchet scored 14 points, Brett Albright had 13 and Zack Taylor had 12 for United (6-12), which fell behind 51-29 at halftime. Damien Ellifritz scored 25 to lead Minerva (11-9).

Louisville 69, West Branch 35

LOUISVILLE — Owen Gramoy scored 18 points and Michael Brown had 13 for Louisville (16-4, 13-1), which clinched the Northeastern Buckeye Conference outright title. Brandon Ferguson scored nine for West Branch (4-15, 1-13), while Tylor Rockwell had eight.

Southeast 57, Crestwood 47

RAVENNA — Noah Kainrad scored 18 points, Nick Phillips had 16 and Joe DeJacimo had 12 to lead Southeast (8-11), which led 39-32 entering the fourth. David Czerny and Adam Longo each had 11 for Crestwood (5-14).

GIRLS

Lordstown 42, Fairport Harbor 22

ROOTSTOWN — Lindsey Harrison scored 22 points to lead Lordstown, which outscored Fairport Harbor 8-1 in the third quarter to take control in a Division IV sectional game at Rootstown High School. The Red Devils (14-7) will play Western Reserve at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Carissa Johnson scored 14 for Fairport Harbor (8-13).
