PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rick Jackson scored a career-high 28 points, 17 in the second half, and Syracuse recovered from an eight-point deficit. Andy Rautins scored a season-high 28 points, Jackson added nine rebounds and Arinze Onuaku had 12 points and nine boards for the Orange (26-2, 13-2), who clinched a double-bye into the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament.

No. 6 Kansas St. 83, Texas Tech 64

LUBBOCK, Texas — Jacob Pullen scored 21 of his 28 points in the first half to lead Kansas State to its sixth straight win. The Wildcats (23-4, 10-3) remained alive for a possible tie for the Big 12 championship with No. 1 Kansas. John Roberson scored 15 points for Texas Tech (16-11, 4-9), which lost its fourth straight.

No. 11 Georgetown 70, Louisville 60

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Austin Freeman scored 24 of his 29 points in the second half and Georgetown bounced back from consecutive losses. The Hoyas (19-7, 9-6 Big East) trailed the entire first half but took control after that behind Freeman and an extended scoring drought by the Cardinals (18-10, 9-6).

Evansville 55, No. 25 Northern Iowa 54

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — James Haarsma had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead Evansville, which had lost 17 of 18 before pulling off the upset and beating a ranked team for the first time since 2003.

Illinois 51, Michigan 44

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Demetri McCamey scored 14 points and Mike Davis added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Illinois. The Fighting Illini (18-10, 10-5 Big Ten) were coming off a 2-2 stretch in which they had played four straight Top 20 teams, and had an easier time with the struggling Wolverines. Michigan (13-14, 6-9) got 15 points from Manny Harris.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Melissa Lechlitner scored a career-high 23 points and Lindsay Schrader returned from an ankle injury to add 17 and lead Notre Dame.

No. 8 West Virginia 64, Cincinnati 43

CINCINNATI — Liz Repella scored 20 points and Vanessa House made consecutive 3s during a second-half surge that rallied West Virginia.

No. 13 Georgetown 70, Villanova 54

PHILADELPHIA — Sugar Rodgers scored 23 points to lead Georgetown to a victory over Villanova.
