BUDGET AX FALLS | What’s cut?
Campbell’s budget underwent two rounds of amendments after weeks of revisions to eliminate a $463,000 deficit. Funds that were cut include:
General Fund: $159,796. The fund includes police, with a $59,236 cut; fire, with a $676 cut; city council, $22,090; municipal court, $4,986; finance department, $29,251; administration, $39,951; and civil service, $3,606.
Park fund: $46,366.
Street fund: $90.
State highway fund: $40,000.
Recycling fund: $70,000.
Land revitalization fund: $12,258.
Park improvement fund: $5,000.
Sales tax development fund, $24,900.
Other factors in balancing the budget included savings in health-care insurance and workers’ compensation and an increase in expected revenues.
