Taylors to observe 50th anniversary of their wedding

HUBBARD — Mr. and Mrs. William Taylor Sr., 3863 Liberty Ave., will observe the 50th anniversary of their wedding on Feb. 27, having been married on that date in 1960 in Winchester, Va.

A party in their honor will take place on April 24 at the VFW in Liberty.

Hosts for the event will be their family, Rick Taylor, Bill and Toni Taylor and Brenda and Bruce Dripps, all of Hubbard, and David and Carol Taylor of Youngstown. They have 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. A son, William John Taylor, is deceased.

Mrs. Taylor, the former Ella Nicholson, was a bus driver for Hubbard schools and an assistant manager with V.M.I Credit Union prior to retiring in 1992.

Mr. Taylor served with the U.S. Army and retired in 1985 after being employed as a truck driver with Allstate and Ryder P.I.E. Trucking .

The Taylors are members of Four Mile Run Christian Church.
