Chopin piano pieces At the Butler North

Chopin’s genius will also be celebrated in Youngstown today. The Polish Arts Club of Youngstown’s annual art, music and tea reception will include a performance of Chopin piano pieces by Edward Bak. The event, which is free to the public, begins at 1 p.m. at the Butler North building, on Wick Avenue, just north of the Butler Institute of American Art. Bak is a music professor at Ohio State University and is the principal coach at Opera Columbus. He has performed across the globe. As a chamber musician, he has shared the stage with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Phildelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony.
