Each year, the Boardman High School Italian classes sponsor an Italian Week in order to experience food and other things in the culture. More than 250 students at the high school study Italian and many took part in the events the week of Feb. 8.

Activities included sampling Italian food, learning about the culture of the country and learning Italian folk dances such as the Tarantella and the Quadriglia.

In addition, students made masks, sampled food and designed special T-shirts for the festivities. The food the students feasted on included pepperoni rolls, Italian bread, meat trays and rolls.
