Children and their parents flocked to the Poland Public Library to partake in Valentine’s Day crafts and spend the snow day browsing movies and books Feb. 11.

The library put a Valentine’s Day twist on its weekly “Fun with Fours and Fives” event. Kids listened to Valentine’s Day stories and made paper heart wreaths at the library’s Creation Station.

Children also decorated handmade ornaments to trim the library’s Valentine’s Day tree. The tree will be up in the library until the end of February.

The library hosts “Fun Time for Fours and Fives” Thursdays at 1 p.m. The program teaches pre-reading skills, including narration, print motivation and awareness, vocabulary and the alphabet.
