Boardman grad is Who’s Who

Neighbors | Submitted.Ryan Farr is a recipient of the Who's Who Amoung Students Award. Farr is a graduate of Boardman High School and is a senior at Malone University.

Boardman Township is home to Malone University student Ryan Farr, who will be receiving an academic honor in the spring.

Farr, 2006 graduate of BHS, is currently a senior at Malone and has been named as a recipient of the Who’s Who Among Students 2010. He will be awarded a certificate and will be honored at a senior banquet scheduled for April at Malone.

Who’s Who Among Students is an academic award given to students who are nominated by school faculty. Nominations for this award are based on a student’s involvement in leadership positions, extracurricular activities, involvement in the community, school participation and leadership potential.

The Who’s Who award is given to students at universities, colleges and junior colleges. It recognizes academic achievement of students in the United States and in the District of Columbia.

Farr is pursuing a degree in youth and sports ministries with a minor in communications and art. He has maintained the deans list for the four years he has attended Malone.

Farr is currently captain of Malone’s lacrosse team and has maintained his position as wide receiver on the football team. He is codirector of a spiritual life program at the college.

Farr plans to eventually direct sports activities at a church. His anticipated graduation date is May 8.
