The Canfield High School Bands continued their tradition of excellence at the state level by having two Seniors selected to perform with the 2010 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) All-State Band.

Peter Zelinka, Senior clarinet, and Whitney Graff, Senior euphonium, were selected from over 900 applications and audition recordings from across the state of Ohio.

Making their selection even more special, Whitney was selected two years in a row (2009 and 2010) and Peter received First Chair honors and led the 102 member ensemble onto the stage and served as Concert Master.

Under the direction of guest conductor Mr. Gary Green from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, the concert was part of the closing ceremony of the OMEA annual conference and convention.
